Dr. Charles W. Graham, DVM of Elgin, Texas was recently named as the Texas Brahman Associationís Beef Booster of the Year. Since 1962, during the Texas Brahman Associationís Annual Meeting, a deserving person or entity is recognized for outstanding contributions to the beef industry.
Incoming TBA President Billy Dan Lindley of Sulphur Springs said "Charlie Graham is a most deserving recipient of this yearís award for his life time of beef promotion and excellence in production and marketing. He has stepped to the plate on numerous occasions to support the industry and TBA is proud to name him as our 2002 Beef Booster of the Year."
J. D. "Bubba" Sartwelle, Brahman Breeder from Sealy, made the Beef Booster of the Year announcement at the Texas Brahman Associationís Annual Meeting at Brenham in June and presented the award at the TAMU Annual Beef Cattle Short Course on the TAMU campus on August 6th.
Sartwelle said, "the leadership to the industry that Charles W. Graham has provided is equaled by few in the industry and he is a most deserving recipient of this award".
The Texas Brahman Association initiated its "Beef Booster of the Year" award in 1962 and counts a distinguished list of industry leaders, doers, and thinkers among its recipients.
