the Risner "Girls"

We enjoy sharing with our friends the visits and photos
from our young friends. Two of our frequent visitors are
Kayla and Sara Beth Risner.

Sara Beth had her Heifer looking good at the State Show in July. This was a "long" shot but the calf really has muscle and a great top line.

Suzanne thinks the stubborn
streak comes from Billy Dan's
side of the family.

Thanks for showing
Lindley Brahmans

Kayla showing during the All American, at Lake Charles 2002.
Kayla and her young bull were second in the first class of bulls.
This will be her last show as a junior she has graduated from Wooden High School in May.  Good Luck in college!

Working hard during the TJBA Summer Show in June at Brenham, TX.

You both have really worked hard and done a great job.

Thank you for choosing LINDLEY BRAHMANS for your projects.

Not the best day for this young gentleman....First of all Billy Dan takes him away  from his loving mother, next they perform all kinds of strange things to him, finally  a "girl" strangles him with this contraption around his head. He may sull of days.....

Good luck Kayla---You have always wanted to show a bull.

Kayla had a "big day" at Fort Worth 2002. I caught her sitting up her heifer while keeping an eye on the judge. A combination that won her Brahman Showmanship Honors.

Congratulations!

This is "Big Sister" Amy Ivy giving one of the show heifers a pre-show talk.  Both Amy and the heifer are really into this pep talk.  I really believe this heifer is listening to every word and will do exactly what Amy says.

from the summer

Kayla was making friends with a young bull Sunday afternoon. As always the natural gentleness of LINDLEY BRAHMANS is evident even in the newly weaned calves.

Kayla shared this photo with us.
"Cheyenne" is one of Kayla Risners outstanding show heifers from LINDLEY BRAHMANS. You will have to ask her Mother but I am sure Kayla works every day with her heifer.

Sister, Sara Beth is just what we need around this place. She just has a natural touch with the cows in the pasture, but when she also brushed them, the cows love it.

The calves love the attention Sara Beth
gives them. The only problem is once you start rubbing on a calf, she doesn't want
you to stop. I think if we gave Sara Beth a
full day and left her alone she would have every calf in the pasture all over her.
